Bill Grove, Amramp - Richmond
Helping Katrina Victims

When Amramp officials learned about Debbie Bailey, a resident of Jefferson Parish, La., being one of the thousands who lost everything in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, they offered to install a removable ramp on the Bailey family's temporary home in Homewood.
Amramp dispatched a franchisee to the site to see that Bailey and her father, Van Norman, were able to use the removable ramp. According to company officials, the family was overjoyed with the ramp and the speed with which it was installed.
Because Bailey's father has heart and pulmonary disease and is on oxygen most of the time, the family has been trying to limit the number of moves and overall impact to him. The ramp allows her father to be independently mobile. He utilizes it to get out of the house and take strolls through the neighborhood.
Bill Grove, Amramp Richmond, VA, will be participating in the 1st Annual “Musical Celebration of Life” on Sunday, October 30th.
This event is to celebrate disability awareness month as well as raise money for handicapped Katrina victims. Ms. Wheelchair from Virginia and Rhode Island will be in attendance.
In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, much was not said about the disabled population in that area. Extraordinary efforts were made by the women of Ms. Wheelchair America to provide relief efforts for those in need of medical equipment, wheelchairs and other items lost.
In addition to Bill donating the ramp for the event, he is a Bronze Level Supporter. Bill Grove donates ramp for Ms. Wheelchair fundraiser for handicapped Katrina victims.
